Freelance Writer Spencer Spellman

The Internet is filled with a wide-variety of resources for freelance writers, stay at home moms and people who want to become writers. Some of those resources can be excellent and very useful, while other resources aren't so useful. You can bet that websites promising that you can make a 1,000 dollars a day using their website probably aren't useful. Yet there are many helpful and free resources on the web for freelance writers. I'll be regularly adding new links and resources for all types of freelance writers.

Today I'm discussing a couple useful websites for viewing and applying for freelance writing gigs. One of the first questions I'm always asked is: How do you find Freelance writing jobs? Well, I could just browse all of the Craigslist websites around the world, or I could go to someone's website that has done the work for me already. One of, if not the best, websites for finding and applying for freelance writing jobs is Freelance Writing Jobs. This website features daily lists of individuals and companies that are looking for freelance writers to blog, technical write, write content, write books, contribute to magazines, edit, develop newsletters and more.

If you want to write for a magazine or newspaper, check out Writers Weekly. Every week Writers Weekly lists publications that accept freelance articles. Some of the publications accept material from new writers, while some of the other publications are looking for more experienced freelance writers. Each post usually describes the magazine and details what the editors are looking for. They also list ads for freelance writing jobs.

These are just a couple of great resources for viewing and applying for freelance writing jobs. Be careful of websites that make you register or charge you a fee for using their website. Some people have used these services and had success, but I've heard many horror stories as well. I personally have chosen to use free services.

Maybe you have a good website or resource when looking for freelance writing jobs. Feel free to post these resources in the comment section or share your experiences about Freelance Writing Jobs or Writers Weekly.

Good tips. I use all the resources you mentioned, and have found much work by checking them often!

Thanks Linsey, I'll be adding some more links and resources to this list. These are two of my favorite by far.
